Position Summary
Standard Printing Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Die Cutter Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, adjustment, and maintenance of high-performance die-cutting equipment used in the production of premium folding cartons and printed packaging products.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating modern die-cutting equipment while maintaining strict quality standards, maximizing productivity, and supporting a safe manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate die-cutting equipment, including the KBA Ipress 145 K PRO and Bobst Die Cutter, according to production specifications
  • Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production instructions
  • Perform make-readies, adjustments, and changeovers to ensure efficient production runs
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production
  • Inspect finished materials to verify conformance to customer specifications and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic machine care
  • Follow all company safety procedures, housekeeping expectations, and quality standards
  • Work closely with press operators, supervisors, and other production personnel to meet production schedules and customer deadlines
  • Assist with training and mentoring team members as needed

Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating die-cutting equipment in a commercial printing or packaging environment preferred
  • Experience with Bobst and KBA die-cutting equipment strongly preferred
  • Experience with large-format packaging or folding carton production is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read job specifications and production documentation
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer and production data entry skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
