Job description

Position Description:
Glassco is seeking an experienced, hands-on Foreman to lead commercial glazing crews in the field. This role is ideal for a working leader who enjoys being working the project while also coordinating the crews. This leader will maintain quality standards and link the field to the office.
The Foreman will actively participate in installation work while overseeing day-to-day jobsite operations to make sure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and work alongside glazing crews on commercial projects
  • Perform hands-on installation for projects such as storefronts, curtainwall systems, doors, frames, hardware, glazing, ACM panels, skylights and various other components
  • Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate with management on schedules, materials, manpower and site conditions
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to project standards
  • Enforce all company and site specific safety policies
  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members
  • Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and professionalism
  • Communicate progress, issues, and needs clearly with management

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of commercial glazing experience with some leadership or foreman-level responsibilities
  • Strong working knowledge of glazing systems, materials, and installation methods
  • Ability to lead by example in a hands-on environment
  • Experience coordinating crews and subcontractors
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, work at heights, and perform physical jobsite duties
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be covered under our company drivers insurance
