Job description

Buckeye Container Carriers is seeking a skilled and motivated Shop Foreman to lead our shipping container modification and customization department in Circleville, Ohio.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with experience in metal fabrication, carpentry, and basic electrical work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing projects while actively working alongside the team to build custom shipping container offices, storage units, workshops, commercial buildings, and specialty container projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise container modification projects from start to finish
  • Perform metal fabrication, welding, cutting, and steel installation
  • Install roll-up doors, man doors, windows, lockboxes, and structural components
  • Frame walls, ceilings, and partitions using wood and steel framing
  • Perform basic electrical installation including outlets, lighting, and breaker panels
  • Read drawings, measurements, and project specifications
  • Operate forklifts, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication equipment
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
  • Coordinate material usage and assist with shop organization

Qualifications:

  • Experience in metal fabrication and welding
  • Carpentry and framing experience
  • Basic electrical experience
  • Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and equipment experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
