Description

Hadco Metal Trading Co., LLC distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and mechanical plastics. Hadco products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. Our range of precision cutting equipment includes waterjet, band saws, disc plate saws, and shears. 


We are looking for a part-time saw operator to assist with overflow work. Must be able to work a minimum of (3) three shifts per week between the hours of 6:00PM-12:00AM (hours flexible). Weekend work is also available. 


Availability to train on first shift preferred


As a part-time Saw Machine Operator, you will be responsible for cutting aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys to meet customer specifications. 


Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. 
  • Ability to work with quality inspection tools including micrometers and calipers and perform basic dimensional tolerances. 
  • Monitor machine operation for continued accuracy throughout cutting processes. 
  • Continually measure work piece dimensions to assure constant specification accuracy throughout machine operation. 
  • Prioritize workload to meet customer requirements and company performance goals. 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Able to work a minimum of 3 evening shifts per week, 4-6 hours each starting at 6:00PM. (some flexibility with hours) 
  • Possess strong math and measuring skills, including fractions and decimals. 
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretch. 
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Familiar with basic computer ERP systems. 
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
