A Palomar RN (Registered Nurse) is a healthcare professional working at Palomar Health, a medical system in California. They provide direct patient care, administer medications, collaborate with healthcare teams, and educate patients on health management. Responsibilities vary depending on the department, such as emergency, surgical, or intensive care. Palomar RNs must hold an active nursing license and typically have experience in clinical settings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Palomar RN?

To thrive as a Palomar RN, you need a nursing degree, active RN license, and strong clinical assessment and patient care skills. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, hospital protocols, and up-to-date certifications like BLS and ACLS are typically required. Palomar RNs generally work in a collaborative hospital or clinical setting, often as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team that includes physicians, nurse practitioners, and ancillary staff.
