Job description

LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
  • Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.
  • Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
  • Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
  • Supervise and direct assigned personnel in delivering patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Two to five years of nursing experience required.
  • ACLS & BLS certifications (must be attached to submission and through the American Heart Association).
  • Vent/trach experience is mandatory.
  • Two years of recent Tele/LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
  • Indiana or multi-state compact RN license (must be attached to resume).
Schedule

This position is for the 07:00-19:00 shift.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
