Dalton Ag is a brand forged in America’s heartland and proud to be the premier fertilizer application equipment manufacturer since 1996.

As a paint/powder coating technician, you will be responsible for sanding, masking, and cleaning parts in preparation for powder coating operations. Technician is also responsible for performing sand-blasting and powder-coating techniques following written and verbal instructions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare sandblasting, paint, or powder coating metal parts by sanding, masking, and cleaning
  • Complete sand-blasting and powder coat operations within a given time frame and according to written and verbal specifications.
  • Inspect components during and after processing to ensure quality standards.
  • Assist in maintenance, cleaning, and repair of equipment as assigned.
  • Keep all work areas, including the staging area, clean and organized

· Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment

· Load and unload the blast cabinet

· Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed

  • Ability to learn procedures, tasks, and operations through on-site training from a senior member of the staff.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Ability to maintain onsistent quality of work performed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· High school diploma or General education degree

· 1 or more years of manufacturing experience preferred

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read, write and use basic math skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments
