Job description

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for an IT Service System Administrator Level II to support our contract at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) GSP TO7 in ATAMMC, Fort Belvoir, VA.
Location: 9300 DeWitt Loop, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060
Position Overview:
  • The System Administrator - Level II provides foundational system administration support including server management, Active Directory administration, backup operations, and STIG compliance in support of ATAMMC operations.
  • Contract Support Hours: Monday-Friday, 0600-1800

Job Duties:
  • Provide system administration and technical support for Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware, software, and applications, including servers and reporting tools.
  • Manage all operational tasks, including backup/recovery, performance tuning, software/firmware upgrades, technology refreshes, and maintenance of policies and procedures.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and optimize server operating systems (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, and VMware).
  • Sustain Microsoft Active Directory, including object creation and maintenance.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis to identify, document, and resolve problems as directed.
  • Administer data center programs, including site assessments, preventive maintenance, emergency and corrective services, power and cooling analysis, risk assessments, and optimization evaluations.
  • Apply, document, and gain approval for application Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Participate in On-Call/Call-Back rotation for Engineering Services.

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ Years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency in system administration.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and/or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience deploying and sustaining enterprise server operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and VMware.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with backup/recovery operations, performance monitoring, and capacity analysis.
  • Experience with DISA STIG compliance in DoD IT environments.

Required to Start:
  • Certification Requirements: a Current IAT II Certification is required to Start.
  • Clearance Requirements: Must have or be able obtain a NACLC Public Trust which is required to Start. All personnel must obtain favorable suitability adjudication prior to commencement of duties.
