Role Overview

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Financial Modeling Analysts.

This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors, activated through Initio Sphereโ€™s certification, assessment, and verification process.

Once approved, Financial Modeling Analysts:

  • Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

  • Gain access to real deal flow and paid modeling engagements

  • Support investors, fund managers, and operators on live transactions

  • Build a verified deal track record and Analyst Rating Score

  • Earn income through hourly modeling projects and deal-based work

Certification Tiers:

  • Senior Financial Modeling Analyst

  • Lead Financial Modeling Analyst

  • Financial Modeling Analyst / Associate


Analyst Levels & Pay RangesSenior Financial Modeling Analyst
  • Rating Score: 90โ€“100

  • Pay: $150โ€“$200/hour

  • Typical Background:

Real Asset & Sector-Specific Modeling
  • Commercial real estate underwriting

  • Project finance and infrastructure models

  • Asset-level and portfolio-level cash flow models

Valuation & Analytical Support
  • Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis

  • Football field valuation summaries

  • Assumption support for investment memos and IC materials

Note: Analysts may only perform work in modeling categories they are explicitly approved for. Approvals are earned through certification assessment results and ongoing performanceโ€”not tenure.


How Analysts Start Earning
  1. Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training

Certification & Eligibility

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • Score โ‰ฅ70% in a financial modeling or valuation category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

  • Complete Initio Sphere Financial Modeling Training

  • Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)


Analyst Rating Score

Each Financial Modeling Analyst receives a 0โ€“100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

  • Visibility and ranking on the platform

  • Approved modeling and valuation categories

  • Recommended hourly rates

  • Eligibility for higher-complexity transactions


Compensation & Deal Terms
  • Analysts operate as independent contractors, not employees

  • Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval level

  • Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

  • Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

  • Payments issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

  • Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality or compliance issues
