We are seeking a Retail Sales Team Member who will work closely with the Retail Sales Manager to help customers buy the right appliances, accessories and services for their homes and rental properties.

Duties and Responsibilities
Sales:
  • Being present and engaging appropriately with any product, process and sales training that is offered (always taking advantage of opportunities to learn, improve and grow)
  • Listening to customers needs and desires, presenting them with the best solutions for them, and helping them see why the offered solution(s) are the best for them, all while answering questions and overcoming objections along the way
  • Asking for the Sale
  • Writing up the Sales Order accurately and completely (including notes necessary for the customer, the purchaser, and delivery / install crews to understand fully the products and scope of services being provided)
  • Collecting the full payment accurately of orders at the time of the sale

Coordination:
  • Scheduling - following the PAG processes in
  • Ordering (putting the right needed dates on the order)
  • Delivery / Installation (making sure to create the appropriate delivery order(s) for each order, scheduling then according to PAG processes - right product / services on the right truck / crew.

Customer Service:
  • PAG believes strongly in the concept of under promise and over deliver. Your role as a sales team member is to make sure our customers understand the advantages AND the limitations of the products, accessories and services we sell.
  • PAG puts customer service as first and foremost in our organization. Your role in this is to help customers with the needs they have in getting their products delivered on time and with an excellent customer service experience.
  • PAG wants all of our customers to be satisfied with the products and services that we provide, as such part of this position is to listen when customers have product and / or service issues and help them get connected to solving these problems.


Qualifications:
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and decision-making skills; ability to balance strategy and execution of various activities.

  • Ability to prioritize the most important tasks with time restrictions.

  • Proficient in Google Drive, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and any other programs utilized by PAG.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Fine motor skills - being able to operate a keyboard and mouse efficiently
  • Visual Acuity - have clear near vision for reading computer screens and blueprints
  • Hearing Ability - able to hear and understand conversations in person and on the telephone
  • Light to Medium Lifting - ability to occasionally lift and help put appliances in their appropriate location on the sales floor, or assist in loading and unloading floor models

Work Schedule:
5 Days a week - Monday - Saturday (9am - 6pm) As this is a position that serves retail customers you will need to work Saturdays and will have another day off during the rest of the week. This may change based on our customers needs as we go forward.

CompensationCommission
This position is a commissioned position, with a Draw Component. Your Draw amount will be $2,250 twice a month ($54,000 annually), and will be paid out to you in accordance with the Company’s standard payroll schedule (which is one the fifth and the twentieth).

The Target Annual Compensation for this position is $90,000 a year including commission and SPIFF (with $54,000 of this being guaranteed). There is no “cap” on compensation, the more you help customers buy the items and services that they want and need the more you will earn.

Pacific Appliance Group (PAG) was created in 1997 with the purpose of servicing state and military contracts, and selling to businesses. PAG went on to work on larger housing development projects and has become one of the major suppliers of appliances on Oahu.
In 2021 Pacific Appliance Group was acquired by its current owners, who have grown the brands they carry to provide a greater assortment of products for discerning consumers with homes in Hawaii. They also added in-house delivery and install teams to offer more services that clients were requesting to enhance the PAG experience. They have more than doubled PAG’s sales during their ownership and seek to grow that even further as they look to provide the best appliance solutions for property managers, housing projects, and retail consumers across the entire state of Hawaii.
