Job description

Overview
Supervise all general and utility cleaners. Ensure all public and back of house areas are kept clean and safe. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities
  • Supervise all general and utility cleaners, check their stations and make sure all the tasks are getting completed in a timely manner and according to Golden Nugget standards as established by the Public Areas Department (PAD).
  • Train general and utility cleaners in proper, safe chemical usage and in the use of Public Areas equipment.
  • Ensure equipment and machines are in a proper working order and condition.
  • Give disciplinary notices; evaluate performance levels of Public Areas employees.
  • Maintain department rules and regulations and ensure prompt and fair enforcement.
  • Evaluate performance of produces and equipment used and to make recommendations.
  • Be able to operate copy machines, computers (excel, word; receive, read and send emails).
  • Disperse mail to different departments throughout the Hotel.
  • Provides subordinates with guidance and information to ensure productivity is efficient and effective.
  • Maintains departmental rules and procedures as approved by Manager of Public Areas Department.
  • Advises PAD office on the maintenance of areas in need of repair or replacement.
  • Initiates programs and refinement of existing programs or procedures to achieve a higher level of standard.
  • Stays abreast of attendance of all employees assigned to Public Areas.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities adequately. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Able to mentor, coach and supervise a team assigned.
  • Knowledge of machines/equipment used for cleaning.
  • Knowledge of chemical labeling and usage.
  • Understanding priorities.
  • Taking all calls and being responsible for an assigned team.
  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
