Location: Lakewood, CO 80401
Contract: 13 Weeks OF contract
Shift: Evenings | 3×12-Hour Shifts
Pay Rate:
  • Local: $48/hr on W2
  • Travel: $1,900/Weekly

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Lakewood, CO. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality pre-operative and post-anesthesia care, ensure safe patient recovery while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients before and after procedures.
  • Monitor patients during the immediate post-anesthesia recovery phase, recognizing and responding to changes in condition.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-op assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
  • Manage pain, airway, and hemodynamic stability during the recovery process.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
  • Float within competency as needed and participate in weekday and weekend on-call coverage.

Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (Single State or Compact).
  • Must have experience in both Pre-Op and PACU.
  • BLS (AHA) - Required.
  • ACLS (AHA) - Required.
  • PALS (AHA) - Required.
