Job description

The Introduction to Construction is responsible for delivering classroom instruction and hands-on training for students enrolled in the Home Builders Institute (HBI) Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) Core program. PACT Core is an industry-recognized introductory construction training program designed to prepare individuals for entry-level employment and apprenticeship opportunities in the residential construction and skilled trades industries.
The instructor will teach foundational construction skills using the HBI PACT Core curriculum, which includes construction safety, OSHA awareness, tool identification and usage, construction math, blueprint reading, employability skills, communication, and an introduction to multiple construction trades. The program is designed to help students develop the technical knowledge, workplace readiness, and professional behaviors necessary for success in the construction industry.
The ideal candidate will combine real-world construction experience with a passion for workforce development, student engagement, and career preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
