Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and managing materials and products within the facility. The role involves ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining workflow, and supporting production and shipping operations.

Responsibilities:
Material Handling:
  • Load, unload, and move materials and products manually or using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
  • Transport raw materials to production areas and deliver finished goods to storage or shipping areas.
  • Assist with the organization and proper storage of materials in designated locations.

Inventory Management:
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, including quantities and condition of goods.
  • Use inventory systems to record and track material movements and ensure accurate inventory counts.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and participate in physical inventory audits as needed.

Quality and Safety Compliance:
  • Inspect materials for damage, defects, or irregularities and report issues to supervisors.
  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and operate equipment following company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and improve workflow.

Support Operations:
  • Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Prepare materials for shipping, including labeling, wrapping, and securing products.
  • Assist in packaging, sorting, and other related tasks to support production and shipping needs.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Proficiency in using inventory management systems or software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to [X lbs], stand for long periods, and perform physical labor.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
