We are a full-service mechanical HVAC, plumbing, and specialty piping contractor that offers design and construction services for a variety of markets. Our customers include commercial, medical, and technology, as well as municipalities and government agencies.
Job Summary
The Porter Co., Inc is currently looking for a Project Manager that responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires experience leading multi-million-dollar mechanical construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. The Project Manager will collaborate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive project success.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead, planning, scheduling, and execution of large mechanical construction projects.
  • Manage large project budgets, contracts, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
  • Provide technical advice to both clients and employees working on assigned project.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Ensures accurate and timely project documentation, including but not limited to, RFI's submittals, schedule updates, time records, supplemental work orders, change order pricing, and general project correspondence.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues proactively.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams; Monitor all work performed on assigned project.
  • Conduct regular meetings to track progress and address challenges.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project management processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing mechanical and plumbing contracts valued at $15-$50 Million+.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
