Packaging Maintenance Supervisor

Full-Time | Food Manufacturing
$125,000 – $165,000 annually
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Hours may vary based on business needs)
Monday–Friday (Occasional Saturdays as needed)

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage all packaging maintenance operations within a high-volume food production facility. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, improving plant efficiency, and developing a high-performing maintenance team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the Packaging Maintenance Department to meet production and budget goals
  • Ensure packaging equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in sanitary condition
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance and continuous improvement programs
  • Manage department staffing, training, and performance development
  • Assist in developing and managing the annual maintenance budget
  • Coordinate outside vendors and services as needed
  • Oversee maintenance planning and spare parts inventory
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to optimize packaging operations
  • Support capital improvement projects related to packaging equipment
  • Enforce plant safety policies and maintain compliance with SQF and Quality standards
  • Develop and maintain written procedures and best practices

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related) or equivalent technical training with relevant experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a food production environment (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of food processing and packaging systems
  • Experience with PLCs and electronic control systems
  • Proven mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to lift/handle up to 35 lbs
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Outlook)
  • Clear and effective communication skills
