Job description

Responsibilities: 

  • Follow all safety policies, work instructions and programs to ensure a safe working environment, including proper use of all PPE, safety equipment, Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, Housekeeping, and 5S standards. 
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and tasks on all production equipment and machinery such as lubrication, filters, cleaning, and housekeeping.
  • Repair basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, wiring, valves, gauges, motors, and switches.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment in the areas of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and machine controls.
  • Accomplish all assigned work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency.  Document all assigned work through the work order system.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance capacity within a manufacturing environment.  Experience within the plastic injection molding industry or similar plastics production facility is a plus. 
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment such as injection molding machines, resin vacuum systems, and plant automation is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to use measuring devices including amp meters, calipers, and hydraulic gauges.
  • Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills
  • Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
Pay Range
The pay range is $28– 37/hour. Exact pay offered will depend on candidate’s experience, work location, skills, etc.
