OVERVIEW

As the Senior Packaging Production Designer, you will play a critical role in translating creative vision into thoughtful, production-ready solutions that bring our brand to life. Combining design sensibility with technical expertise, you will ensure every packaging touchpoint reflects the quality, intention, and elevated aesthetic that define ALO.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Transform creative concepts into production-ready mechanicals, specifications, and print-ready artwork, ensuring every packaging asset is executed with precision and intent.
  • Apply ALO's brand standards, visual systems, and packaging architecture across a wide range of packaging formats, thoughtfully adapting solutions to meet unique product and production requirements.
  • Own the accuracy and integrity of packaging content, maintaining a deep understanding of product information, labeling requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Review and manage artwork files throughout the production lifecycle, overseeing version control, file integrity, and final quality assurance prior to release.
  • Partner with the Creative team to build and evolve ALO's packaging libraries, component systems, specifications, and production templates, creating a scalable foundation for excellence across all packaging programs.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional partners to refine workflows, improve operational efficiency, and continuously elevate the quality of packaging execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong design sensibility and systems-thinking mindset, with the ability to balance creative intent, brand standards, production requirements, and business needs.
  • A thoughtful and resourceful problem solver who can navigate constraints creatively, adapting solutions while preserving the integrity of the design and overall brand experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in packaging production, production design, or packaging artwork, with strong expertise in print production, mechanicals, dielines, and production-ready file preparation.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and InDesign. Familiarity with Figma and collaborative design workflows is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve artwork, copy, layout, and production inconsistencies.
  • Experience reviewing and managing packaging copy, product information, labeling requirements, and artwork accuracy with a high degree of precision.
  • Experience managing complex artwork files, technical specifications, and version control processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate production requirements and provide constructive feedback throughout the artwork development process.
  • Knowledge of packaging materials, print finishes, color standards, and production specifications is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with consumer brands, beauty, wellness, fashion, or luxury products is preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
