Surgical Services - CVOR

CVOR / Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratory Technologist assignment for a 13-week contract working day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a 40-hour weekly guarantee. This role supports a cardiovascular and interventional laboratory that provides both inpatient and outpatient procedural services, including cardiac catheterization, angiography, peripheral angioplasty, pacemaker insertions, venography, and a variety of non-vascular interventional procedures. The technologist will assist physicians and clinical teams in delivering high-quality cardiovascular and interventional patient care in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • RCIS certification preferred
  • ARRT accepted
  • Cardiac experience preferred
  • Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular and interventional procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity procedural setting
  • Participation in call rotation required (1 call shift per week and 1 weekend call shift per month)

Unit Details: Procedures The CVOR/Interventional Technologist will assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures including cardiac catheterizations, angiography, pacemaker insertions, peripheral angioplasty, venography, and non-vascular interventions. Responsibilities include preparing procedural rooms and equipment, assisting physicians during procedures, monitoring sterile fields, documenting procedural activities, and ensuring patient safety throughout all interventions. The technologist will also support patient preparation and recovery processes, operate imaging and monitoring equipment, and participate in on-call coverage for emergent procedures. Additional duties include maintaining procedural inventory, adhering to infection control standards, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary cardiovascular teams.
