Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a deep understanding of the developental needs of children ages 4-5. 
As a North Carolina Pre-K Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, age appropriate education that promotes intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. You will create a nuturing and engaging classromm environment that supports the academic and personal growth of each child, preparing them for success in kinergarten and beyond.
Responsibilities 
  • Plan, organize, and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children aged 4-5, in alignment with North Carolina's Pre-K guidelines and early learning standards. 
  • Provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular assessments of each child’s progress, tracking development in areas such as language, literacy, math, social skills, and physical development.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and learning tools, including hands-on activities, creative arts, music, and structured play to engage children in learning.
  • Implement individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of each child, including those with special needs or language barriers.
  • Maintain classroom order and discipline in a positive and supportive manner, ensuring a safe, clean and respectful environment.
  • Provide guidance and support for children’s emotional and social development, helping them build self-confidence and positive peer relationships.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, development, and any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education practices and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to early childhood education and child care.
Qualifications
  • NC Birth-Kindergarted (BK) licensure
  • Experience working with children in a preschool or Pre K setting, preferably with children ages 4-5
  • Knowledge of North Carolina Pre K guidelines and early childhood learning standards
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and other professionals
Compensations
  • Compensations requirement for teachers holding NC Birth-Kindergarten Initial, Countinuing Residency or Preschool Add-on-License based on (10 months)
  • Zero years of experience starts at $31, 518.00
  • First years of experience starts at $31,948.00
  • Two Years of experience starts at $32, 422.00
  • Third Yeaer of experience starts at 34,060.00
  • Salary will increase as the years of experience increase
