Job description

Junior Civil Structural Designer

*Civil3D/CADWorx Structure

Hourly rate: $35hr.

Duration: 2-3 months (potential to be longer if increase in workload)

We are looking for a 5-year Junior Level Civil Structural Designer. The duration 2-3 months, this depends on our workload. We cannot guarantee duration on this position and want to be transparent.

For the Civil/Structural Designer candidate, we’re looking for someone:

•          Self-motivated and can perform key tasks with little supervision and a high degree of accuracy

•          This is a remote/hybrid position, therefore when remote, aggressive and effective communication skills with the Civil/Structural group and other disciplines is required utilizing primarily Microsoft Teams. When hybrid, we will ask that the candidate come into the office at least once a week if not more.

•          Ability to quickly integrate with a lean Civil/Structural engineering and design group with multiple concurrent projects and priorities

•          Takes ownership, responsibility, and pride for their deliverables with regards to schedule, budget, and quality

•          Quickly conforms to client’s drafting standards, practices, and norms

•          Foundation / Reinforcement Modeling and Detailing (Required)

•          Pipe Rack / Pipe Support Modeling and Detailing (Required)

•          Structural Skid Modeling and Detailing (Optional)

•          Access Platforms / Stairs / Ladders Modeling and Detailing (Optional)

•          Onshore chemical plant experience (Optional)

•          Grading, drainage, and roads (Optional)

•          Onshore pipeline experience (Alignment Plan and Profile, HDD Crossings, and Tie-In Details) (Optional)

•          Offshore pipeline experience (Optional)

•          Pipeline risers on fixed structures (Optional)

•          Water distribution for hydraulic fracking

•          Upstream / Midstream gas compression

•          Gas meter stations

•          Brownfield experience on offshore fixed structures (Optional)

•          Highly proficient with AutoCAD

•          CADWorx Structure experience (2017+Preferred) (Required)

•          Experienced in Autodesk Civil3D (2020+ preferred) (Optional)

•          Experience with BlueBeam PDF session redlines
