Job Summary
Myrtle Beach Destinations manages 190 vacation rentals throughout the Myrtle Beach area. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and plumbing, and basic electrical systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively supervise maintenance tasks and ensure the smooth operation of our properties. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and leading small teams to achieve maintenance goals.
Duties
  • Provide timely and courteous responses to guests' maintenance concerns during their stay.
  • Conduct comprehensive and regular inspections of our homes. This encompasses structural elements, electrical systems, HVAC, appliances, and outdoor amenities such as pools and landscaping.
  • Execute routine preventative maintenance assignments to uphold property integrity and functionality.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to oversee the execution of high-quality, specialized repairs beyond standard maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure full compliance of vacation rentals with local and state codes and regulations, guaranteeing the safety and satisfaction of all guests.
  • Assist with any other company needs related to maintenance or in support of other departments
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a general residential maintenance technician or a similar role is required.
  • Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general home maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common maintenance issues and make repairs.
  • Able to provide professional customer service while handling maintenance calls.
  • Excellent eye for detail, the ability to stay organized, and communicate both verbally and written in English.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving record.
