PART-TIME JOB OPENING
Civic Center Rental Supervisor
HOURS
Approx. 5-10 hours a week but varies based on rental requests. Usually, M-F beginning at 4pm and ending around 10:30pm. Occasional weekend rentals during mid-day.
JOB SUMMARY
The Glen Ellyn Park District is searching for a rental supervisor who would oversee rentals taking place in the Glen Ellyn Civic Center Weidner Auditorium/Gymnasium. The Weidner Auditorium is a facility that is rented out as a branch of Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center. Groups who rent the Glen Ellyn Civic Center may play basketball in groups, conduct personal training sessions, or host various events. Start date: August 1st
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Picking up Civic Center keys from the Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center before every rental in order to open the Weidner Auditorium/Gymnasium for renters and returning the keys after every rental is over.
  • Greeting renters as they enter the building and monitoring areas throughout the shift.
  • Turning lights on at the beginning of the rental period and off and the end of the rental period.
  • Supervising safety and good conduct of renters using the Civic Center/Weidner Auditorium/Gym.
  • Light cleaning in auditorium/gymnasium and bathrooms after rentals are done.
  • Communicating with and updating management staff as necessary.
