Job description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Technical Targeter on an exciting program in Sterling.  We are looking for someone with a background in a variety of tools and technologies, and the ideal candidate will have experience in tactical, operational & strategic intelligence support. Other responsibilities include the ability to use a variety of analytical methodologies to support predominantly technical issues (e.g. target analysis, link/relationship discovery and analysis, temporal analysis, and other quantitative methods) and proficiency in describing collection requirements and targeting information to technical and non-technical audiences and senior leadership.

The selected candidate must have a solid understanding of technical collections and experience creating targeting packages. Our ideal candidate will be able to operate in high pressure environments and be able to manage large and small projects. Technical Targeting Analysts must be able to think critically and communicate highly complex technical information accurately and clearly while also working collaboratively in a team environment.  Candidates should be comfortable with drafting and disseminating written reports.

  • Must currently hold an Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Minimum of 14 years of targeting or other ops/intel experience
  • Target-package building experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience can be substituted for the degree
  • Experience presenting briefing materials, technical deep-dives, and step-by-step procedures to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Advanced experience using targeting and partner analytic tools
  • Experience with communications infrastructure
  • Ability to identify and assess the right entities and the right vulnerabilities and technology trends to enable new collection operations
  • Ability to confidently deliver clear and concise briefings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytic, research, and investigative skills combined with ops sense, personal initiative, and some technical expertise
  • Ability to work within an ambiguous, evolving digital environment individually and as a member of a collaborative team

Desired:

  • Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations
  • Experience identifying targeting leads through the exploitation of all-source databases and specialized tools
  • Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices
  • Formal training or certification as a Targeter
  • Overseas experience supporting collection operations and information sharing
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, the fundamentals of intelligence operations and asset validation
  • Must currently hold an Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

  • Minimum of 14 years of targeting or other ops/intel experience
