Job Title: Night Auditor

Company: Shamin Hotels

Organizational Structure:ย

Reports To: Front Office Manager, Assistant General Manager,ย  General Manager

Supervision: none

Pay Structure: Paid Bi-weekly

Position Overview:

Night auditors perform end-of-day accounting tasks and overnight front desk duties. They assist late-night guests, process check-ins and check-outs, and address other customer requests. They also audit, reconcile, and balance daily financial activities.

Essential Job Functions:

Performs all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel and company, on a daily basis.

ย Performs and attributes all required audit reports.

Verifies the status of all wake-up call requests and ensures they are properly handled.

Balances all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift.

Prepares the front office for the โ€˜Aโ€™ shift and reset days business.

Acts as a Guest Service representative during the night time hours.

Acts as the manager on duty during the night time hours.

Attends and actively participates in all front office meetings.

Participates in all training and cross training programs.

Acts as PBX operator during the audit shift.

Assists breakfast attendants by setting up breakfast areas as needed.

Performs other related duties as required.

Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

ย Reports to work for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.

Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.

Qualifications:

ย High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.

Bachelorโ€™s Degree, and/or equivalent experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills.

1-2 years of hotel front desk or night auditor experience preferred

Customer Service Skills required.

Financial management skills required.

Brand systems knowledge preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods while assisting guests and monitoring the front desk area.
Ability to sit for extended periods while completing audit reports, reviewing financial data, and using computer systems.
Ability to use a computer, phone, and other office equipment for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry items up to 25 pounds such as office supplies, packages, or guest items.
Ability to bend, reach, and stoop occasionally when accessing files, supplies, or equipment.
Ability to visually review financial reports, guest accounts, and system data with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly with guests and associates both in person and by telephone.
Ability to move throughout the hotel property during the overnight shift to perform security walks, assist guests, and respond to operational needs.
