PrideStaff is seeking a skilled and motivated Screen Press Operator for a premier printing and manufacturing company. This role requires strong technical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot finishing equipment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Press Operation: Independently set up and operate a semi-automatic graphic (non-textile) screen print press.

  • Troubleshooting & Quality Control: Resolve printing problems; adjust mechanical operations of the press to maintain optimal quality, registration, color, and production speed.

  • Materials Handling: Effectively utilize inks, print-related chemicals, and typical plastic print substrates.

  • Color Management: Judge and maintain strict color consistency throughout production runs.

  • Curing Process: Ensure proper operation of ultra-violet (UV) curing equipment to guarantee correct ink curing.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational improvements, detect potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results.

  • Asset Maintenance: Efficiently utilize company resources and properly maintain equipment to maximize return on investment.

  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow workplace safety measures to safeguard all employees and visitors; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near-misses.

  • Professional Relations: Establish and maintain positive business relationships with employees, vendors, business partners, and regulatory entities.

  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information.

Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

  • General familiarity with the printing industry.

  • Technical Skills: Strong PC proficiency and willingness to learn new technical skills.

  • Core Competencies: Excellent attention to detail, uncompromising integrity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Work Style: Self-driven with the ability to work independently when needed, while also collaborating effectively within a team structure.

  • Time Management: Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet strict deadlines.

  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience operating a graphic screen printing press.

  • Experience with measuring and testing equipment such as calipers, densitometers, and/or spectrophotometers.
