Semi-Skilled Roofing Laborer - Historic & Steep-Slope

Renaissance Historic Exteriors

Fenton, MO • On-site

$20 - $25/hr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision

Re-posted 13 days ago

Job description

You've got real experience. Now put it to work on roofs worth remembering.
You've spent time in the trades. You're comfortable at heights, you know how to read a site, and you're ready to grow. At Renaissance Historic Exteriors, you'll step into a different league — working on landmark buildings with historic materials that demand precision and craftsmanship. The skills you've built transfer directly. The new ones you'll gain are rare and valuable.
This is not a revolving-door labor position. We invest in people who are serious about the craft, and we expect you to grow. Most of our crew leads and foremen came through exactly this role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Support slate, tile, cedar shake, and steep-slope copper roofing crews on historic restoration projects throughout the Midwest.
  • Perform tear-offs, material staging, and prep work — with increasing hands-on installation responsibility as your skills develop.
  • Set up and maintain fall protection, scaffolding, and ladders per OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Travel to project sites — work is regional, not limited to a single city.
  • Learn the specific methods, materials, and judgment that define historic restoration work.

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • 1+ years of roofing or construction experience (preferred).
  • Comfort at heights and on steep pitches — this is our specialty.
  • Reliability and a coachable attitude — experienced enough to add value, humble enough to keep learning.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for project-based work.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • $20–$25/hr based on experience and trade skills.
  • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance after 90 days.
  • Year-round, steady work — no seasonal layoffs.
  • Travel per diem for overnight project assignments.
  • Defined advancement path into specialty trade roles.
  • A team culture built on safety, craftsmanship, and mutual respect.
