Field Service Foreman Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Job Summary:

The Field Service Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating field service personnel performing equipment inspections, maintenance, repairs, installations, and troubleshooting activities at customer sites and project locations. This position serves as the primary field leader, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company and customer requirements.

The Field Service Foreman provides technical guidance, workforce coordination, and customer communication while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Direct and supervise field service technicians, mechanics, welders, and support personnel.
• Assign daily work activities and ensure resources are properly allocated.
• Coordinate field activities to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Monitor work progress and adjust schedules as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to field personnel.
• Serve as the primary field contact for customers during assigned projects and service work.
• Communicate project status, repair progress, and operational concerns to customers and management.
• Maintain professional customer relationships and represent the company positively in the field.
• Assist in resolving customer and field personnels concerns and service issues.
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, customer requirements, and company standards.
• Verify proper use of PPE and safe work practices and participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Coordinate equipment inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Verify work quality and ensure repairs are completed correctly.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or operational issues.
• Coordinate with shop personnel and Parts Administration to ensure parts availability.
• Train, mentor, and coach field service personnel.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback.
• Promote teamwork and accountability among field employees.
• Complete and review service reports, inspection forms, and project documentation.
• Track labor hours, equipment usage, and project progress.
• Maintain accurate records related to repairs, inspections, and customer work orders.
• Assist with scheduling and resource planning activities.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, crane service, construction, fleet maintenance, industrial service or related field.
• Certified in OSHA 30 hours, First-Aid/CPR preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service documents and work orders.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Effective problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Previous leadership, lead technician, or foreman experience preferred.
• Ability to lead teams and manage priorities in a fast-paced service environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop or crouch, climb stairs and access uneven terrain for extended periods.
• The work environment involves working in both shop and field environments, including exposure to potential safety hazards in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to wear all required PPE.
• Must be able to travel to assigned locations for early mornings, extended shifts or adjusted schedules based on project requirements.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring manual labor, lifting, and climbing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  Comfortable working at elevated heights. Ascend/Descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs.
  Grip, hold, operate objects, tools and/or controls.

Work Environment:
Construction sites, industrial facilities, or shipyards.
Exposure to varying weather conditions and loud machinery, grease and mechanical hazards.
