Job Summary
Our client is seeking highly reliable and tenured professionals for a remote contract-to-hire opening. As a Patient Access Scheduler, you will be the first point of contact in the patient care journey, handling back-to-back inbound and outbound calls, gathering demographic information, and scheduling medical appointments. This role requires a focus on efficiency, quality, and a commitment to providing excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls routed automatically through the system.
  • Gather patient demographic information, pre-register insurance coverage, and schedule patients for medical appointments.
  • Support both hospital and outpatient teams.
  • Educate patients on self-service options and provide clear answers to inquiries.
  • Maintain a 97% or higher quality score.
  • Meet performance metrics: Average of 55 calls per day with a 6.5-minute average handle time.
  • Participate in mandatory daily on-camera team huddles and meetings.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with EPIC within the last 2 years.
  • A quiet, dedicated workspace and comfort being on camera.
  • Minimum 25 MBPS internet speed, no hotspots.
  • Strong customer service experience & comfortable taking 55+ inbound calls per day.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Skills
  • Experience with EPIC and Epic cadence.
  • Experience with healthcare scheduling or contact center experience.
  • Experience with the Five9 telephony system.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.

Additional Requirements
M-F Open 7:30 am-7:30 pm, 8-hour shift within this window aligned to their time zone.

  • 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
