About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Process / Quality Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence, product quality, and continuous improvement across our electro-mechanical production environment. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality, ensuring that products meet technical specifications, regulatory standards, and customer expectations from development through production. You will play a critical role in new product introduction (NPI), yield improvement, and root cause analysis, while helping build scalable processes and quality systems that support growth.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, technical drawings, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation including SOPs, inspection plans, and control standards
  • Own product quality metrics, reporting, and statistical analysis to drive data-based decision making
  • Review and approve quality documentation and ensure proper document control processes

Manufacturing & Process Engineering

  • Lead DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews between Engineering and Contract Manufacturers
  • Provide hands-on support for manufacturing floor troubleshooting and process optimization
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, repeatability, and yield
  • Build and manage databases to track production performance and quality trends

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead or support yield improvement initiatives using data analysis and root cause methodologies
  • Participate in Kaizen events and Six Sigma projects to drive operational excellence
  • Identify process gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Supplier & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to drive quality improvements
  • Monitor and manage corrective actions with internal teams and external partners
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to resolve product issues

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Support new product launches, ensuring readiness of manufacturing and quality processes
  • Define inspection and validation criteria for new products
  • Act as a key stakeholder in cross-functional NPI execution

Customer & Field Support

  • Investigate field and customer-reported issues and drive resolution
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders on quality matters
  • Make shipment decisions (e.g., hold/release) in accordance with established procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 5-7+ years of experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing environments
  • Strong hands-on experience in process troubleshooting and quality engineering
  • Experience with statistical analysis, yield improvement, and root cause methodologies
  • Familiarity with quality systems, inspection standards, and documentation practices
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen methodologies
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and global suppliers
