Job description

Position Summary
Lakeshore Sport & Fitness is seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced Overnight Facilities Supervisor to lead our overnight operations team in maintaining a clean, safe, and fully operational facility exceeding 160,000 square feet. This position is responsible for supervising a four-person team while coordinating custodial, maintenance, and facility readiness tasks that support daily operations.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can effectively prioritize work, communicate expectations, and ensure scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities are completed efficiently. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to make sound decisions independently during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coach, and support a four-person overnight facilities team.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly custodial and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure the facility is clean, safe, secure, and prepared for daily operations.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and respond to facility issues as they arise.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and cleanliness concerns.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and coordinating repairs involving building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, maintenance activities, and supply inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with daytime management regarding ongoing projects, facility concerns, and shift updates.
  • Assist with event setup and facility preparations as needed.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of pool systems in accordance with applicable health and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supervising employees in a facilities, maintenance, custodial, or operations environment.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple recurring priorities across daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Current Pool Operator Certification (Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications for communication, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements associated with facility maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supervising an overnight shift.
  • Experience managing operations in a large commercial, recreational, educational, or community facility.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance systems.
