  • Manage client emotional and behavioral issues, using a variety of techniques including, but not limited to, crisis intervention and de-escalation.
  • Document resident activities, observations, and services provided.
  • Respond appropriately to resident concerns and emergencies.
  • Encourage independence while treating every resident with dignity and respect.
  • Dispense medications in accordance with legal requirements and house rules.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to new staff.

  • Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
  • Follow and enforce house schedule and house rules; help develop new house rules when needed.
  • Follow agency policies and established crisis intervention procedures.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings as required.
  • Record client progress toward goal completion and actively participate as a member of the treatment team.
  • As the house "night owl", you are required to remain awake during all working hours.

Why Join Family & Children's Center?

We Offer:

  • $1000 retention bonus paid quarterly through your first year
  • Paid training and staff development
  • Supportive, mission-driven team
  • Opportunities for advancement and career growth
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Comprehensive benefit package, including organization contributions to a Health Savings Account
  • Life insurance covered at 100% by Family & Children's Center
  • Paid time off through generous vacation and sick time programs and nine recognized holidays - plus one floating holiday!
