They use Internet Protocol (IP) relay services to convert typed text messages into voice messages and vice versa, ensuring smooth communication through telephone or online platforms. Their role is crucial for providing 24/7 accessibility, especially during overnight shifts when traditional relay services may be limited. Operators must maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and neutrality throughout all conversations.

Staying organized and practicing self-care outside of work hours also play a key role in maintaining alertness and high-quality service throughout overnight shifts.
