Job Description

As a Security Officer in Rochester, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support guests, staff, and property operations while reflecting a caring culture, teamwork, reliability, and integrity in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting issues to site leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hotel and resort grounds, including lobbies, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Monitor access points, visitor activity, and common areas to help support orderly operations and address security-related concerns in accordance with post instructions.
  • Assist with emergency situations, alarms, and/or service calls by following established protocols and communicating clearly with guests, staff, and local responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
