Job description

Supports the Polysomnographic Technologist at Mayo Clinic by preparing patients for polysomnographic studies and performing other tasks that are necessary for patient comfort and safety while the patient is being evaluated in the Center for Sleep Medicine Laboratory. Provides support to sleep laboratory staff by preparing patients for overnight sleep studies, applying and securing electrodes according to established procedures, promoting patient comfort and understanding of the testing process and assisting with the setup and connection of polysomnographic monitoring equipment at patients' bedtime.

License/Certifications:

  • Establishing and maintaining Basic Life Support certification is required.  Candidates who do not have current BLS certification at the time of hire will complete BLS training during department orientation.
