Position Summary:
Twelve Downtown Hotel, Autograph Collection in Atlanta, GA is seeking a dedicated and reliable Front Desk to join our team. This role combines both guest service and accounting responsibilities, ensuring seamless operations at the front desk and overnight auditing. The ideal candidate will assist with guest check-ins and check-outs, handle inquiries, resolve complaints, and perform critical accounting tasks, including balancing daily revenue and preparing reports. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the accuracy of hotel financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
  • Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, following the "Make it Right" guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information, ensuring safe and accurate room access.
  • Provide hotel information, including amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Ensure a smooth guest experience by providing assistance during overnight hours.

Accounting & Auditing:
  • Balance and audit daily room revenue, food and beverage charges, guest accounts, and cashier reports.
  • Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports, ensuring accuracy in all revenue and expense records.
  • Prepare customer tracking reports, market segmentation reports, and other documents relevant to daily hotel operations.
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process guest accounts accurately upon check-out.
  • Ensure the correct posting of room rates, taxes, and any additional charges.

Administrative Tasks:
  • Input and retrieve guest information using the hotel management system.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest stays, transactions, and charges.
  • Ensure front desk area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with materials (pens, forms, etc.).
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.

Safety & Security:
  • Follow hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as required.
  • Report accidents, injuries, or any security concerns promptly to management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

General Duties:
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge of hotel services, room types, rates, promotions, and amenities.
