Job description

Dallas Market Center (DMC) is seeking a driven, relationship-focused sales professional to join our Leasing team as Manager, Hard Goods Leasing – Temporary Exhibitors. In this role you will own the full sales cycle for temporary booth space across our hard goods categories—home furnishings, gifts, beauty, and mahjong—during wholesale markets. You will recruit new exhibitors, retain current ones, and consistently hit revenue targets that keep DMC’s show floors dynamic and fully leased.

This is a mid-career sales position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, market-driven environment, knows the wholesale buyer landscape, and loves the energy of trade show selling.

What You’ll Do
  • Update and maintain prospect and current client information in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Assist with all aspects of the launch of DMC’s TEMP floor planning tool, MYS (Map Your Show)
  • Manage TEMP leasing inquiries from new and prospective TEMP participants
  • Organize, develop, and maintain strategic prospecting initiatives to achieve budgeted goals
  • Build and maintain solid cross-departmental working relationships
  • Assist in selling exhibit space and achieve revenue and net income goals for assigned product categories
  • Source new prospective business through cold-calling and visiting competitive shows
  • Assist Operations Team and GES to help streamline operational functions, signage plans, and executions
  • Represent DMC to the industry in a professional, confident manner
  • Attend competitive trade shows to target prospects
  • Identify new trends and create opportunities for growth; flag softening segments where revenue may be at risk
  • Assist with special projects and assignments as identified by VP Apparel
  • Manage tracking of Lease Renewal during Market
  • Provide consistent and timely reporting on projects and deadlines
What You Bring
  • 7–10 years of B2B sales experience with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Direct sales experience in hard goods categories—home furnishings, gifts, beauty, or mahjong/game products—for the wholesale market
  • Prior experience selling or leasing exhibit/booth space at wholesale trade markets strongly preferred; temporary or pop-up retail formats a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an active pipeline through cold outreach, trade show prospecting, and relationship-based selling
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and comfort with sales data and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
Schedule & Travel
  • Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM; market weekends and trade shows as needed
  • Ability to sit for extended periods in an office environment and stand/walk during markets
  • Travel required as business needs dictate
Why Dallas Market Center?

Dallas Market Center is one of the world’s leading wholesale trade resources, hosting hundreds of markets and trade shows each year across home, gift, apparel, and more. You’ll join a collaborative team with deep industry relationships and the tools to succeed—from cutting-edge floor planning technology to a culture that values initiative and results.
