Caesars New Orleans is seeking Asset Protection Surveillance Operator who will maintain the highest level of integrity while protecting company assets and monitoring suspicious activity through covert surveillance operations.

Shift: Overnight

Entry Level Pay: $17.50/hr + Pay Increase after completion of Training

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
  • At least 21 years of age to work in a casino
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
  • Experience with surveillance systems, camera equipment, and recording methods is a plus
  • Experience working in a surveillance environment, with the ability to efficiently monitor and navigate multiple computer screens simultaneously and maintain focus throughout the duration of the shift, is a plus
  • Demonstrated strong mathematical skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop a broad knowledge of table games, casino rules, procedures, and operations
  • Ability to recognize cheating methods, suspicious behavior, and irregular activities
  • Ability to successfully complete periodic written and/or oral assessments, demonstrating knowledge of gaming operations and regulatory requirements following training
  • Strong ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team
  • Maintenance of a professional, well-groomed appearance
  • Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and trustworthiness at the highest level
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands

  • Must be able to maneuver in all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while observing numerous CCTV screens.
  • Must be able to work and maneuver in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to observe and recall specific details of incidents and individuals.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment such as DVRs, monitors, switches, computers, controllers, and cameras.
  • Must be able to provide court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items when necessary.
  • Must be able to remain calm and make sound decisions while handling guest demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent vision, including peripheral vision, to effectively monitor gaming activities.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and auditory cues.

Gaming Permit: Non-Key

  • Maintain surveillance on designated areas and activities.

  • Record irregular activity as required.

  • Operate all surveillance equipment, including, but not limited to DVR's, monitors, switches, computers, controllers, and cameras as assigned.

  • Provide CCTV (closed camera television) and personal observations of all departments and applicable job functions to assure that all company policies and procedures are met with compliance.

  • Present oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.

  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
