Job description

Overview

We are seeking experienced and licensed Electricians to join our team as Service Technicians. This role involves performing service, troubleshooting, and installation work in commercial environments. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can work independently, identify solutions on the job, and deliver high-quality service. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled service tasks and maintenance to ensure electrical systems are operating safely and correctly
  • Troubleshoot, remove, and install emergency light fixtures and exit signs
  • Conduct routine maintenance and surveys on emergency lighting systems
  • Service, troubleshoot, and upgrade in-store and interior lighting systems, including cooler lighting and LED upgrades
  • Work with Energy Management Systems (EMS)
  • Replace ballasts, lamps, and repair/replace fixtures as needed
  • Install and service 120v480v electrical systems, panels, circuits, breakers (including smart breakers), devices, and conduit (EMT, MC, FLEX, PVC, etc.)
  • Communicate with dispatchers throughout the day to provide real-time customer updates
  • Respond to emergency service calls (day, night, or weekends as required)
  • Identify additional chargeable opportunities such as upgrades or contract expansions and communicate them to the office
  • Complete and submit electronic service orders, reports, and timesheets daily via online system
  • Participate in final job site walks and completion sign-offs with site management
  • Coordinate electrical installations with contractors when required
Job Requirements
  • Journeyman Electrician License (state/city/county, as applicable)
  • Clean driving record
  • Experience with scissor, boom, or bucket lifts for various installations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with touchscreen electronics or willingness to learn
  • Willingness to work after hours, on-call shifts, and overnight travel when required
  • Prior experience in commercial/retail electrical service strongly preferred
