  • Coordinate with inside sales, customer service, engineering, operations, and sales leadership to support quotes, product recommendations, project follow-up, and issue resolution.
  • Manage project-based opportunities from identification through close.
  • Maintain accurate and timely Salesforce records, including accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, stages, close dates, next steps, and forecasted revenue.
  • Provide regular territory updates, pipeline reviews, sales forecasts, and competitive/market intelligence.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Travel regularly throughout the territory, including overnight travel.

Ideal Experience

  • 3–5+ years of outside B2B sales experience, preferably in industrial, environmental, waste management, construction, manufacturing, or technical products.
  • Experience selling to waste management companies, environmental contractors, refineries, chemical plants, utilities, landfills, industrial service providers, or remediation firms is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with hazardous or non-hazardous waste transportation, containment, packaging, or disposal is a plus.
  • Proven ability to prospect, develop new accounts, grow existing accounts, manage a sales pipeline, and close business.
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM system is required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required.

Skills and Attributes

  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working independently in a remote territory.
  • Strong relationship builders with a customer-first mindset.
  • Consultative sales approach with the ability to understand technical applications.
  • Strong follow-up habits and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable speaking with field personnel, purchasing teams, engineers, project managers, and executives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, accountable, competitive, and team oriented.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Able to balance urgency, responsiveness, and long-term account development.
