Compound Pharmacist

Company: Rx relief

Location: Near Plano, TX

Schedule: Full-Time

Pay: $60.00 – $68.00 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

Rx relief is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Compound Pharmacist to support a high-volume 503A compounding pharmacy near Plano, TX for multiple positions. These positions play a critical role in prescription verification, sterile and non-sterile compounding oversight, and ensuring compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Verify compounded and non-compounded prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile lab operations during overnight hours
  • Review compounding records, ensure adherence to aseptic procedures, and maintain quality documentation
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and timely order processing and shipping
  • Maintain compliance with state board, DEA, and USP regulations
  • Communicate any necessary follow-ups or issues to the day team

Requirements

  • Active Pharmacist license in Texas
  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
  • Experience with sterile compounding
  • Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions for overnight position
  • Knowledge of USP compounding standards and pharmacy software systems

Preferred Experience

  • Oversight of sterile compounding (USP 797 / 800)
  • Prior experience in a high-volume or mail-order pharmacy
