Description : Frequency of any Call needed: Weekends only
• Schedule Details: 24hr on-campus/call position - 24hr shifts from 7a-7a, Saturday & Sunday (Most likely starting 7a Saturday and ending 7a on Monday morning).
Work Details:
• Department Description: Rounds with 2-3 peds/ED residents, overnight call with 1 resident. The ICU has medical, surgical, neuro; level II & III NICU, pediatric unit, 24hr radiology/x-ray/CT/MRI; Surgical services include general, neuro, Ortho, cardiothoracic, vascular; has radiologist, cardiologist, pulmonologist, gastroenterologist, neurologist, urologist, hem/onc, psychiatrist, and EKG. 24hr laboratory with 2hr turnaround. 24hr OR. Clinical pathology.
• Patient Volume: 11
• Patient Age Group: peds
• Special Procedures Required: Locum is required for medical conditions such as cardiac/respiratory arrest, sepsis, renal failure, poisoning; surgical pre-and post-op conditions; traumatic injuries such as blunt force or penetrating injuries; fractures, dislocations, etc. Vent management, chest tube insertion, BP issues, central & arterial lines, transfusions, ICP eval, hemodialysis, diagnostic taps, etc.
