ISMG is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of all vendors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. We are looking for a detail-oriented account payable specialist to control and monitor expenses, payments, invoice verification, and account reconciliations.

To be successful in this role you should exhibit sound knowledge of best practices in accounting and experience in a similar role. An accomplished accounts payable specialist will be someone whose accounting expertise translates into optimized expense control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Receive, process, verify and reconcile invoices.
  • Performs day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements.
  • Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Issuing purchase order amendments and stop payments.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze and interpret relevant financial data.
  • Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
  • Keep informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
  • Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related fields.
  • Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Specialist or other related roles.
  • Excellent understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets, Excel, QuickBooks, Bill.com, Ariba network system, and other accounting software or systems.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience in account reconciliation.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
  • Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification a plus.
