Job description

Job Summary
This position professionally represents the Finance Department, assists in accomplishing the mission and goals of the Department and the Hospital, ensures the quality of financial reports, analyzes financial data, maintains accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and as required for the preparation of the Medicare/Medicaid cost report, performs payroll accounting, processing and reporting functions, facilitates and prepares capital and operating budgets, and continually improves the integrity of accounting data accumulated to facilitate improved financial analysis. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent plus a Bachelor's Degree with an accounting major from an accredited university.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with patients and their families and guests, co-workers, managers, providers and other hospital personnel on a one-to-one basis using appropriate grammar, vocabulary and word usage.
