Founded in 1894, The Washington Golf & Country Club (WGCC) is one of the nation's most distinguished private clubs, celebrated for its traditiion of excellence, refined atmosphere, and outstanding member service. With panoramic views of the D.C. skyline and a legacy of hospitality spanning more than a century, WGCC offers an extraordinary member and guest experience- and we're looking for a Seasonal Outside Golf Operations team member to help make the 2026 season one of our best!

The Outside Operations Employee is responsible for delivering exceptional service to members and guests by supporting the day-to-day golf operations. This role ensures a seamless golf experience by maintaining practice facilities, assisting with golf cart operations, and providing professional, courteous service at all times.


Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests upon arrival and assist with golf bags and equipment
  • Prepare, stage, clean, and store golf carts to club standards
  • Maintain the practice facilities, including driving range, putting greens, and short game areas (e.g., picking range balls, replenishing tees, and ensuring cleanliness)
  • Manage the bag drop area and organize member bags in the storage room
  • Provide accurate information regarding club services, course conditions, and daily play
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of golf tournaments and events
  • Ensure all outside service areas are clean, organized, and presentable
  • Monitor pace of play and communicate effectively with golf staff when needed
  • Enforce club policies in a professional and respectful manner


Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to lift and carry golf bags (up to 50 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Prior golf knowledge or experience is preferred but not required


Schedule Requirements:

Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs



Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
