Job description

Position Title: Golf Outside Operations Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Golf Outside Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all outside golf operations, ensuring exceptional service to members and guests in alignment with Broken Sound Club Standards. This role supervises Golf Attendants and daily outside services, including bag drop, cart and bag storage, and practice facility operations, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, safety, and efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to manage and perform each essential duty satisfactorily and ensure their team does as well.

  • Supervise and assist staff in delivering prompt, professional service at the bag drop, practice facilities, and cart barn.
  • Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of all outside areas including the bag room, driving range, and cart staging areas.
  • Ensure the Club's golf cart fleet is clean, well-maintained, and ready for daily use.
  • Monitor staff adherence to Club policies and safety procedures as outlined in training materials and Club guidelines.
  • Maintain clear communication with golf shop staff, fellow supervisors, and management regarding daily operations, member needs, and tournament coordination.
  • Train, support, and mentor new and existing Golf Attendants on service expectations, safety, and operations.
  • Proactively assist members and guests with requests, ensuring satisfaction and exceeding expectations.

Driving Range Supervision:

  • Oversee daily operations of the driving range and short game areas, ensuring practice balls are clean, well-stocked, and distributed appropriately.
  • Monitor adherence to all club rules at the range, including the enforcement of the yellow ball policy.
  • Ensure equipment used for range maintenance is in good working condition and stored properly.

Bag Room Oversight:

  • Manage the storage and maintenance of member golf bags and carts.
  • Ensure the bag room is organized and that all member equipment is properly labeled and stored.
  • Supervise the cleaning of clubs and carts, and routine services such as inflating tires, watering batteries, and filling sand bottles.

Tournament & Event Preparation:

  • Lead the setup and breakdown of all golf tournaments and club events, including signage, starter boxes, staging areas, water stations, and other logistical elements.
  • Work with the Golf Professional staff to ensure timely and accurate tournament setup and execution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
  • Must be highly service-oriented with exceptional attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Basic knowledge of golf operations, etiquette, and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with members, guests, and coworkers.
  • Must be capable of lifting and handling golf bags, crates, and other equipment weighing between 20-60 pounds.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in golf operations or similar supervisory role preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-end customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing duties that require bending, standing, and moving for extended periods.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and during club events.

Compensation:

  • Available for Part-time and Full-time
  • Salary is commensurate with experience.
