Job description

The Grove’s Ministry Support team is a vital part of keeping our church running efficiently. The Ministry Support Staff work closely with our Ministry Support Team Leads, Support Ministries Director and the entire Grove team, to ensure that all areas of the church are presentable, set-up, and ready to go for every regular church service as well as any other events that are held at The Grove.

SUPPORT ACTIVITIES – 70%
  • Set up and tear down rooms for services, classes, meetings, and special events according to provided diagrams, schedules, and instructions.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, staging, signage, and equipment for indoor and outdoor ministry activities.
  • Ensure spaces are prepared on time and meet quality, safety, and ministry standards.
  • Reset rooms and event spaces efficiently between services, meetings, and events.
  • Support church ministries by preparing and maintaining spaces needed for programs and activities.
  • Assist with moving equipment, furniture, supplies, and materials throughout campus as needed.
  • Provide on-site event support and respond to setup adjustments or facility needs.
  • Help maintain organization, cleanliness, and accessibility of storage areas, equipment, and shared ministry resources.
  • Ensure outdoor gathering spaces and common areas are clean, safe, and ready for use.
  • Support church outreach, recreational, and community events as assigned.
HOSPITALITY AND CLEANING ACTIVITIES – 20%
  • Perform light cleaning duties, including wiping surfaces, sweeping, trash removal, window cleaning, vacuuming, and restocking supplies.
  • Monitor and replenish restroom and hospitality supplies as needed.
  • Work alongside the cleaning crew team to maintain clean, welcoming, and ministry-ready facilities.
  • Identify and promptly report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns.
  • Assist in creating a welcoming environment for guests, attendees, volunteers, and staff.
  • Respond courteously and helpfully to requests from ministry leaders, volunteers, and event participants.
  • Represent The Grove's values through a positive, servant-hearted, and team-oriented attitude.
OTHER– 10%
  • Join church all-staff meetings and devotions when available.
  • Attend any mandatory Ministry Support trainings.
  • Model Biblical principles in interactions with staff, church attendees, and event attendees.
