What You’ll Be Doing


Customer Service & Sales

• Greet and engage customers with professionalism and enthusiasm, creating a welcoming environment.

• Walk customers to products and provide detailed, knowledgeable guidance on firearms, ammunition, and outdoor gear.

• Assist customers in selecting gear that fits their lifestyle, experience level, and safety needs.

• Deliver a confident, service-first experience that builds trust and keeps customers coming back.


Firearm Sales & Compliance

• Follow all firearm sales procedures and ATF regulations with precision and consistency.

• Complete ATF Form 4473 accurately and ensure all documentation is properly secured.

• Verify ID and eligibility requirements for all regulated purchases.

• Maintain accurate physical and electronic records, including full proficiency in both digital and paper-bound book recordkeeping.

• Participate in regular firearms compliance training and testing.

• Protect customer and transaction confidentiality at all times.


Merchandising & Stocking

• Keep shelves stocked, clean, and well-presented at all times.

• Ensure signage and pricing is current, accurate, and clearly visible.

• Assist in building seasonal displays and end caps.

• Communicate low stock and reorder needs to Buyers proactively.


Product Knowledge & Training

• Stay current on firearms, ammunition, and gear specifications, features, and uses.

• Participate in vendor and store-led product training to continuously sharpen your expertise.

• Compare features, uses, and value across product categories to guide informed customer decisions.

• Stay up to date on changes to state and federal firearm regulations.


What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in firearms sales preferred.

• A strong working knowledge of firearms and related accessories.

• Solid understanding of firearms safety and compliance regulations; additional training will be provided as needed.

• A customer-focused, sales-driven mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High attention to detail, especially when it comes to compliance documentation and regulated transactions.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while staying accurate and composed.

• Passion for the outdoors, sporting goods, or hunting and shooting sports.



Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.

• Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, and move throughout the department for extended periods.

• Must be available for evenings, weekends, and promotional events.

• Adhere to all store safety guidelines and procedures.
