Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Solar Apprentice Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed electricians to assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This is a great opportunity to learn about solar energy systems and grow your career in the renewable energy industry. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, follows safety protocols, and is passionate about working in the solar field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed electricians with the installation of solar PV systems:
    • Install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems
    • Connecting electrical components.
    • Inverters, wiring, and panels
    • Switches, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, transformer installations
    • Terminations, relay, and communications
    • Cable pulling
  • Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies to ensure safe work practices.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar systems under supervision.
  • Help troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite and inventory of materials.
  • Attend training sessions and safety meetings to advance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Active Apprentice Electrician License (at least year 1 apprentice)
  • Solar electrical experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Enrolled in or willing to enroll in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program.
