Our mission is to ensure memories are delivered one piece of furniture at a time, on time, every time. We are looking for a highly experienced warehouse and logistics professional to join our team in the role of Senior Operations Manager.
Job Summary:
The Linehaul Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations. This role ensures efficient product flow, accurate inventory control, and maximum trailer utilization, while maintaining safety, quality, and performance standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and excels at coordinating with multiple stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • FIFO Management: Ensure First-In, First-Out processes are followed, prioritizing movement of the oldest freight first.
  • Trailer Space Optimization: Oversee high-quality loading practices to maximize trailer utilization and minimize damage.
  • Outbound Operations: Manage up to 10 outbound loads per day, ensuring on-time departures and accurate documentation.
  • Inbound Processing: Process all inbound freight within 24 hours in accordance with established inbound SOPs, ensuring product is accurately placed into designated lanes or directly loaded into outbound trailers.
  • Staff Leadership: Direct, train, and support warehouse staff to meet productivity and quality targets.
  • Problem Resolution: Quickly address and resolve operational issues to maintain workflow continuity internally and external providers.
  • Dispatch Coordination: Maintain working knowledge of local and outbound dispatch operations to support efficient scheduling and load planning.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, DOT standards, and operational SOPs.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in cross dock, warehouse, or logistics management (3-5 years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of freight handling, trailer loading, and material flow processes (preferably furniture).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management system (TMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced facility with multiple inbound and outbound operations daily.
  • Extended hours or weekend work will be required during peak periods.
