Job description

We are looking for a talented Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team for Leave of Absence Replacement (3 month duration)

  • In-person only | Full-time position | 8 hours per day
  • Caseload: 28
  • Levels: 3 – 21 years of age
  • District wide services (itinerant)

Hourly Rate Range: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor function, mobility, and physical therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to improve gross motor skills, posture, balance, coordination, and mobility.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies into the school environment.
  • Recommend and implement adaptive equipment, positioning strategies, and classroom modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and IDEA guidelines.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Train and support teachers and staff on movement strategies, mobility support, and accessibility accommodations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate (DPT) or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Washington State Physical Therapy License (issued by the Washington State Department of Health).
  • OSPI approval or eligibility as a school-based Related Service Provider (may include ESA certification if required by the district).
  • Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
